Mrs. Maria Dos Anjos de Melo (née De Sousa) August 03, 1915 - February 26, 2004 De Melo, Maria Dos Anjos Peacefully at 8:05 a.m., with her family by her side at Extendicare Nursing Home, on Thursday, February 26, 2004, at the age of 88. Maria de Melo, beloved wife of the late Jose Melo. Loving mother of Manuel (Isaura) de Melo and Alda (Silvino) Braga, and predeceased by son Carlos Alberto. Cherished grandmother of Anabela (Abel) Almeida, Niveria (Joe) Freitas, Joe Braga, Hilario Braga and great grandmother of Kelcie, Brittany, Eric and Ryan. Predeceased by her three brothers. Fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Township Chapel of the Gordon F. Tompkins Funeral Homes, 435 Davis Drive (Waterloo Village) on Saturday from 7-9p.m. and on Sunday between the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Parish Rosary service at the Funeral Home Sunday evening at 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Division Street, on Monday, March 1st, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. . Rite of Committal with prayers at the Divine Mercy Mausoleum in St. Mary's Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stoke Foundation in memory of Maria.
