MACRAE, Ida (Nanny) At the Riverview Manor in Montague on Friday, February 1, 2008, of Ida (Nanny) MacRae (nee Weatherbie) of Murray River, in her 94th year. Wife of the late John A. MacRae. Loving mother of Hazel Acorn, Murray River. Dear grandmother of Anne Butler, Betty McCarthy, Joey, Wade, Blair and George Acorn, Nancy Mettot and Gary Murphy, 18 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Sister of Annie MacLean and Dave Saunders. Predeceased by her brothers Norman MacDonald, Joe and Willard Weatherbie and by her sisters Mary Ellen MacPherson and Florence MacDonald. Also predeceased by son-in-law Harold Acorn and by great-grandsons Jody MacKinnon and Jake MacFadyen. Resting at Ferguson’s Montague Funeral Home from where the service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday at 2 p.m. Interment in the St. John’s Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Belfast. Visitation Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. If so desired, memorials to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
