Roderick James SHEDDEN

SHEDDEN, Roderick 2008-01-25 Mr. Roderick James Shedden age 61 years of Thunder Bay, passed away unexpectedly at Thunder Bay Regional Hospital on January 23, 2008 with his family by his side. He was raised and educated locally and joined the Fort William police force in 1967, retiring in 2000 after 33 years of service. Rod‘s family was most important to him and he married his best friend Carol on June 18th of 2007 in Las Vegas. His son Trevor was his best buddy and partner in "Shedden Motors" where they spent many hours in the garage. He had a special bond with his daughter Carla and his two very special granddaughters Carly and Erin. Rod is survived by his loving wife and best friend Carol, his son Trevor (Louisa), daughter Carla (Paul) Mclnrue, his granddaughters Carly and Erin Mclnrue, stepdaughter Erin Hammond and stepsons Andrew (Megan) and Jason Hammond. He is also survived by his sister Lynne (Ron) McDougall, brother Nelson (Susan) Shedden as well as numerous other relatives. He was predeceased by his parents, James and Froella and son Scotty. Cremation has taken place. As per Rod‘s wishes no funeral service will be held. A ’Celebration of Life‘ will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2008 at 2:00pm in the Provincial Room at the Prince Arthur Hotel. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Northern Cancer Research Foundation would be appreciated. Interment will be held at a later date in Mountain View Cemetery. Catch ya later, gone fishin!
