SMITH, MARIAN - The passing of Marian Smith of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Richard Everett Smith, occurred on Saturday, January 26, 2008 at her home in Fredericton, NB. Born in Saint John, NB, she was the daughter of the late Hazel May (Daye) and Albert Earl McBrien. Mrs. Smith was a member of Nashwaaksis Baptist Church serving in various capacities including the choir, Stephen Ministries and the Prayer line. She was a forty year member of the Girl Guides of Canada. She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Wasson (Ken); and granddaughter, Kendra of Saint John, NB; one brother, Donald McBrien of Saint John, NB; two nieces, Julie McBrien-McLaren of Oakville, ON, and Judy Farguharson of Saint John, NB. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Tuesday, January 29, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at Nashwaaksis Baptist Church on Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at 11 am with Pastor Kevin Culberson officiating.
