Alexander "Alex" Smith Meiklejohn July 02, 1932 - January 28, 2008 Peacefully after a long illness at Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital on Monday, January 28, 2008 Alex Meiklejohn of Waterdown in his76th year. Beloved husband of Jennet Maude (Jean) for 19 years. Dear father of Linda (Tom) Earl, Cathy (Keith) Baum and stepfather of Richard (Roberta) Claxton, Wayne (Carrie) Claxton, John (Lori-Anne) Claxton and Peter (Lori) Claxton. Loved grandfather of Tommy, Chad, Jason, Kristal, Cole, Dawn, Lindsay (predeceased), Amanda, Kelly, Kyle, Emily-Anne, Abigail, Erynn, Alysson and Ashley. Brother of Jessie Spearing and brother-in-law of John Rees and family and Peggy & Neil Galloway and family. Predeceased by a brother Robbie Meiklejohn. Alex was a retired Union Gas employee.
