KIENDL, Margarete - Mom returned peacefully to the arms of our Heavenly Father on Tuesday January 29, 2008 after a courageous and lengthy battle against cancer and with the love of her life by her side. Margarete Kiendl (nee Jirak) of Pembroke, dearly beloved wife of over 50 years to Joseph and much loved mother to Paul Kiendl (Stephanie) of Surrey BC and Heidi Martin (Dale) of Pembroke. Cherished Oma to her five grandchildren, Ryan, Bradley and Jake Kiendl and Cassandra and Tyler Martin. Margarete will be missed and remembered by her family and neighbours and many close friends who, over the years, have become part of our family. Margarete is predeceased by her parents Emmanuel and Anna Jirak and her brother Ottomar. Mom was a longtime member of the Germania Club, Pembroke and the Cathedral Choir and CWL. Relatives and friends may call at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 296 Isabella Street, Pembroke on Friday 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. and Saturday after 9:30 a.m. ( Cathedral Parish CWL will meet at the Funeral Home on Friday at 3 p.m.) A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday morning February 2 at 11 o'clock in St. Columbkille's Cathedral, Pembroke.
