CAVANAUGH, Ernest McRae "Bud" CAVANAUGH, Ernest McRae "Bud" - 83, Upper North River, passed away Saturday, February 16, 2008, in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born December 27, 1924, in Bible Hill, he was a son of the late Henry and Olive (McRae) Cavanaugh. Bud spent his working years as a woodsman. He enjoyed going to exhibitions and especially enjoyed the horses. He enjoyed going for long drives around Truro and the many surrounding areas. Bud is survived by his sister, Margaret (Blair) McNutt, Debert; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters, Gladys McNutt, Marion and Jean Cavanaugh; brothers, Muir, Lloyd, Harry, Earl, Ira, Willis, and Robert in infancy. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where the funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday, Rev. David Lutes officiating. Spring interment in Blackmore Memorial Cemetery, Upper North River. Family flowers only. If so desired, donations in Bud's memory to Blackmore Memorial Cemetery or a charity of choice are welcomed.
