BATTS, Douglas Charles - Passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on Tuesday, February 19, 2008, in his 89th year. Predeceased by his loving wife, Joyce Margaret in 1994. Loving Dad of Glynis Holmes of Brantford and Gregory Batts and his wife Rita of St. Catharines. Beloved Gramps of Craig and Lisa Holmes, Denyse and David Welch of Brantford, Kelly and Carrie Batts of St. Catharines. Great Gramps of Melissa and Emily Welch and Alysha Holmes. Douglas was a World War II Veteran, having served throughout the war with the Royal Navy. Douglas was a member of the Port Dalhousie Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 350 and a retired member of IBEW - Local 303. According to his wishes cremation has taken place.
