Stefan SOCHA

SOCHA, Stefan. Passed away on July 20, 2004 at St. Mary's Hospital. He was in the Polish Armed Forces, and took part in the liberation of Europe with the 1st Polish Armoured Division. He was decorated with the Polish Cross for Valour, and awarded British, French, and Polish decorations. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Helena; his children Irena, Basia (Kris), Ted (Nicole), and Teresa (Tom); and, his grandchildren Sophie, Katharine, Nolan, Christopher, Patrick, Stephanie, and Andrew. Friends and relatives will be received on Friday, July 23, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Collins Clarke MacGillivray White Funeral Home, 5610 Sherbrooke Street W. Service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 24, at Misja Sw. Wojciecha (Church of St. Columba), 4020 Hingston Avenue (corner N.D.G. Avenue). Interment at National Field of Honour, Pointe Claire. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Palliative Care Fund or the In-Patient Oncology Fund at St. Mary's Hospital. The Montreal Gazette
