REID, Barbara nee Merry Peacefully in hospital February 21, 2008 at the age of 89. Beloved wife of the late John "Jack". Loving mother of Peggy and John (Gertie Witte). Cherished grandmother of Angela (Chad) MacLean and James (Stephanie McGuire). Proud great grandmother of Hannah and Hayley. Fondly remembered by Lesley Mansell. Greatly missed by "Buddy". Predeceased by siblings Harold, Doris and Bill Merry. Special thanks to the staff at the Redwoods Retirement Residence as well as the A-3 staff at the Queensway Carleton Hospital especially Dr. Swami, Jennifer, Marge, Lea and Alex. Friends are invited to visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street, Ottawa Sunday, February 24, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral will be held in the Chapel Monday at 10 a.m. Reception to follow in the McGarry Family Reception Centre.
