MCGUIRK, Ralph Joseph At the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Thursday, February 28, 2008, of Ralph McGuirk of Fort Augustus, age 78 years. Beloved husband of Rita McGuirk (nee Koughan) and loving father of Teresa Mitchell (Art), Lorraine Pitre (Louis), Linda Griffin (Michael), Cathy McGuirk (Hal MacDonald), David McGuirk (Diane), James McGuirk (Stacey), Danny McGuirk (Doreen) and Jeffery McGuirk. Ralph is also survived by his grandchildren, Nicole, Joshua, Matthew, Stephanie, Jessie, Katelyn, Brett, Grace, Isaac, Jack and Sam; sisters, Gladys, Eileen, Shirley and Rosemary; and brothers, Ivan, Gordon, Eric and John. He was predeceased by his parents, Henry and Stella McGuirk and his sisters and brothers, Pearl, Doris, Bertha, Tina, Isabel, Clifford, Gerald and Elmer. Resting at the Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford for visitation on Sunday, March 2, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, March 3, at St. Patrick's Church, Fort Augustus, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow later in the church cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to St. Patrick's Parish Debt Reduction Fund would be appreciated.
