BANKEY, Mary (nee Ferrara) - It is with great sadness that Mary's family announces her death at the Belleville General Hospital on Sunday, March 2, 2008 in her 93rd year. She passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Bruce. Mother of Kathy Beecher (Bob), Patty Lee, Theresa Bankey (Bobby Whitfield). Mary loved and was loved by her grandchildren Bill (Hester), Phil and Paul Beecher, Michael, Christie (Terry), Shannon (Matt), Matthew and Erica Lee, Bond (Christina) and Brian (Cristell) Whitfield. Great grandmother of Lane and Sawyer Whitfield. Predeceased by her parents Pasquale and Emilia Ferrara. Dear sister of the late Frank, Linda and Alfred. She will also be sadly missed by her little friend Niles. Mary touched so many lives with her energy, love of life and her youthful spirit. To her age was just a number, not a state of mind. The family will receive friends at the BURKE FUNERAL HOME, 150 Church Street, Belleville on Thursday March 6, 2008 from 6-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Catholic Church on Friday March 7, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation and private family interment at a later date.
