BAKER, May (nee McQuarrie) 1920-2007 The family announces with sorrow her death at the Timmins and District Hospital on Friday December 21, 2007, at the age of 87 years. Beloved wife of Delbert. Loving mother of Sandra Foland of Glen Gardner, New Jersey and Rod (Lynda) of Porcupine. Cherished grandmother of Deborah (Gary Cool), Lauren (Mike Crampton), Alison (Neil Jamieson), Aaron (Carrie), Joshua and Shannon. Great grandmother of Krystal, Katie, Kevin, Jared, Jenna and Hailey Mae. May is survived by her sister Beryl Robertson (late David) of Timmins. Predeceased by her by her parents Hector and Elizabeth McQuarrie, granddaughter Jennifer, sisters Kay Williams, Jean Stevens, Edna Alpine and Grace Webb-Blair. May was a graduate of the St. Mary’s School of Nursing and worked in the Pediatric Dept. as a registered nurse until she began her family. She then devoted her time to them. She was a Leader of Youth activities at Mountjoy United Church and President of the Kinette Club of Timmins. She was active with the Timmins Horticultural Society and loved spending time at her cottage at Barber’s Bay. The family would like to thank the Physicians and staff at the Entendicare and the Timmins and District Hospital for their kindness and excellent care. A funeral service will be held on Sunday December 23, 2007 at 2 pm in the funeral home chapel. Cremation will follow. Remembrance donations made to the Mountjoy United Church or to the Charity of your choice will be greatly appreciated.
