Merle SMITH

CARROLL, Merle (Smith) - a resident of Chatham passed away Monday, March 10, 2008 at Riverview Gardens, Chatham at the age of 89. She was born in Chatham, daughter of the late Herbert & Clara (Cartwright) Smith. Beloved wife of the late Sherman Carroll (1992). Loving mother of Connie & Doug Heath of Corunna, Kenneth & Rita Moor of Lucan and Bill & Vera Moor of Dresden. Sadly missed by 8 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Glenadene Price of Washington State, Janet Tuck of Chatham, and Kaye Cushman of Wallaceburg. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters Marion Wood, Ethel Stocking, Evelyn Smids, and a brother Leslie Smith. The Carroll will receive friends at the JOHN C. BADDER FUNERAL HOME 72 Victoria St., Thamesville on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held from the funeral home on Friday, March 14, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. with Elder Marg Ramsden of the Community of Christ, Faubert Dr., Chatham officiating.
