BONVIE, John S. CD - (retired 30 year Corrections Canada Officer, Treatment Centre, 20 year with Canadian Armed Forces - CG then RCR) - Peacefully after a brief battle with cancer, at the Kingston General Hospital on Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at the age of 69 years. Beloved husband of Kathleen “Kay“ for 50 years. Loving father of Andy (Beth) of North Gower, Cory (Sherry) of Canmore, Alta, Joan and Kelly. Cherished by grandchildren Davey (Lori), Lindsay, Brandi, Sarah, Joey, Kristi, Jacob, Damon, Alanah, Mathew and great grandchildren Michael, Cameron and Braden. Dear brother of Thomas Leo Bonvie (Cathy) of Newmarket and predeceased by brother James Bonvie. Sadly missed by his brothers-in-law Louis Comeau (Heather) and Bernard Comeau (Michelle), nieces, nephews and other relatives and good friends. Friends will be received at the Township Chapel of the GORDON F. TOMPKINS FUNERAL HOMES, 435 Davis Drive (Centennial Dr and Taylor-Kidd Blvd.) on Thursday, March 13 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 1111 Taylor Kidd Blvd. on Friday, March 14, at 1:00 p.m. Cremation will follow.
