BIRO, Bill. Passed away on March 7, 2008 in Tel-Aviv at eighty-seven years of age. He will be sadly missed by wife Hani, daughter Susanne Biro Backman, Avrum Backman and granddaughters Heather and Barbara Backman. Predeceased by first wife Helen Schlesinger. Also survived by brother-in-law Dr. Andrew Gonda and nephew Peter Gonda who will greatly miss him for his unabashedly good humour. Also mourned by stepchildren Michah, Shimon and the late Dora Zer-Aviv. Former Cantor of the Beth Hillel congregation. Holocaust survivor along with late sister Lia Gonda. Memorial donations to the Holocaust Memorial of your choice would be appreciated. He was interred at Yarkon Cemetery on March 9, 2008."We'll always miss his beautiful singing voice."
