Ernest William ADAMS

ADAMS, Ernest William - 77, passed away peacefully March 1, 2008, in Shoreham Village, Chester, where he had lived for the past year. Born in Halifax, he later moved to Western Shore and worked for Colin Vaughan's Cooper Shop. Ernie loved playing hockey on Vaughan's Lake where he became know as "King of the Lake" and in his later years he loved walking. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Harding Branch No. 144, Western Shore, and St. Mark's Anglican Church, Martins Point. He is survived by nephew, Derek Adams; niece, Jennifer Adams, and sister-in-law, Jamirie Adams, all of Truro. He was predeceased by his mother, Hilda Adams; brother, Eric; grandfather, Herbert Adams. No visiting by request. A graveside committal service of ashes will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 5, in Western Shore Cemetery, Rev. Bonnie Baird officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Shoreham Village, Chester; St. Mark's Anglican Church, Martins Point, or Canadian Cancer Society.
