Daryl David MURPHY

MURPHY, Daryl David - 66, Stewiacke East, formerly of Dartmouth, died January 28, 2008, in Glades Lodge, Halifax. Born in Blanchard Fraser Memorial Hospital in Kentville, he was a son of the late William Joseph Murphy and the late Myrtle Blanche (Dodge) Murphy. Daryl (David) was known for his kind-hearted nature and was always willing to help anyone in their time of need. He was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers International Association, Local 409. He is survived by his eldest son, Daryl, Stewiacke East; daughter, Christeena, Toronto, Ont.; youngest son, Scott, Stewiacke East; brother, Garth, Hants County. He is also survived by several grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Gloria Daisy (Gallant) Murphy (Dartmouth); brothers, William Gardiner Murphy (Dartmouth) and Gene Joseph Murphy (Hilden). A memorial service for Daryl (David) will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 8, in Dartmouth Funeral Home, 29 Queen St., Dartmouth.
