Janet Doris DEXTER

REID, Janet Doris - 74, Halifax, passed away at home on March 6, 2008. She was a daughter of the late Edmund and Edythe (Burton) Dexter. Janet was a graduate of Dalhousie and Mount Allison universities. She was an avid curler at the Halifax Curling Club, as well as an enthusiastic golfer belonging to the Ashburn Golf Club. She was a lifelong member of Bethany United Church and was very active with the UCW and other church activities. She was also active in the Halifax Infirmary auxiliary for many years and involved in many other organizations. Janet was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother. Janet is survived by her husband of 52 years, Dr. Earle Reid; sons, David, Douglas (Sharon), Gregory, all of Halifax; sister, Donna Dexter, Halifax; grandchildren, Nicol, Alex, Jonathan, Julianne, Liam, Keegan, Benjamin. She was predeceased by brother, Edmund Jr. No visitation by request. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 8, in Bethany United Church, Clinton Avenue, Rev. Arlene Riches and Rev.
