Elmer Randall CLARKE

CLARKE, Elmer Randall - 88, of Pugwash, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2008, in North Cumberland Memorial Hospital, Pugwash. Born in Pugwash Point, he was a son of the late Hugh Elmer and Margaret (MacAleese) Clarke. For many years Elmer ran his own farm and later owned and operated his own trucking company. He was a long-time member of the Pugwash District Volunteer Fire Department. In his later years he found great pleasure in spending time with his two granddaughters. Elmer is survived by his wife of over 61 years, the former Lilly Hansen; son, Elmer Brent (Karen), Pugwash; brother, Hugh John (Dorothy), Pugwash; sisters, Emma (Howard) Rice, Liverpool; Jewel Coulter, Malagash; granddaughters, Abby and Alanna Clarke, both of Pugwash; several nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Mundle's Funeral Home, Pugwash (243-2506). A graveside service for Elmer will take place in the spring, which will be announced at later date.
