HALEY, RITA 2008-03-16 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother RITA ROSE MARIE (KORNYLO) HALEY (nee Bloom), age 65 years, resident of Thunder Bay. Mother was born on April 19, 1942 in Port Arthur. She was raised and educated in Port Arthur and attended Port Arthur Collegiate. On March 13, 2008, Mother passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones. She is sadly missed by her children Geri, David (Lucy), Frank; her grandchildren Kelsey and David; her brothers Nick (Frances) and Eddie (Bev); and her nieces and nephews. Friends of Mother will deeply miss her company. Mother got tremendous joy from travelling the world with family and friends. Her destinations extended from such diverse places as Las Vegas to Indonesia. A remembrance to honour Mother will be held at Calvary Lutheran Church, 2820 E. Donald St. on Wednesday, March 19 at 1pm. Mother will have a private interment at a later date at Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Northern Cancer Research Foundation or the National Kidney Foundation.
