GRANT, George Evert 1923-2008 - The family announces with deep sadness his death at the Timmins and District Hospital on Saturday February 16, 2008 at the age of 84 years. Predeceased by his beloved wife Yvette (1998) and his son George (1963). Dearest father of Diane Deeves (Don) of Orillia, Judy Lobacz (Rick) of Porcupine and Frank Grant (Brenda Morrell) of Garson. Dear brother of Shirley Knowdell of Toronto. Predeceased by 4 brothers and 3 sisters. Loving grandfather of 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. George settled in Timmins in 1946. He was a WWII Veteran serving in active service. Remembrance donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Timmins and District Hospital Foundation would be appreciated. Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday February 19, 2008 from the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME Chapel.
