Doyle Bernard Vincent “Bernie” 1927-2008 The death occurred peacefully, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, on Sunday, March 30, 2008 of Mr. Bernard Vincent “Bernie” Doyle, of St. Andrew’s and formerly of Savage Harbour, age 80 years. Beloved husband of the late Lucille (nee Smith) Doyle. Dear brother, of Ernest (Norma) Doyle, Veronica Forestell, Helen Reid, Ronald (Pauline) Doyle, Alphonse (Ida) Doyle, Earl (Joan) Doyle and Anne Noonan. Bernie will also be sadly missed by his brothers and sisters-in-law Irene Doyle, Denise Doyle, Eileen Smith, Mary and Terry Reilly, Mary C. Smith, Emma Dalton, Marion Gilbert, Edna and Neil MacDonald, Joe and Kay MacKinnon, Sister Bernice Smith CSM. Marion Smith, Phyllis and Ed McQuaid, Gerry and Fran Andrews, Lori and Barry Birt, as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides his wife, Bernie was also predeceased by his parents, Barbara and Elisha Doyle, sisters, Ethel and Mary, and brothers Gerald, John and Leonard. Resting at the Hennessey Funeral Home until 10:20 on Thursday morning, then transferred to St. Andrew’s Church, Mt. Stewart for funeral mass at 11 a.m. Interment to follow in St. Andrew’s Parish Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. If so desired, memorial contributions in Bernie’s memory may be made to St. Andrew’s Parish Cemetery Fund.
