Marie DODDS

DILLON, Marie 2008-04-19 November 28, 1924 – April 16, 2008 It is with great sadness that the family wishes to announce the death of Marie Dillon. Marie was born and raised in Darlington, England, and came to Canada as a young bride. She was a long time resident of Thunder bay, Ontario and moved to BC after her husband of 25 years died; eventually settling in White Rock, near the ocean and the mountains. Marie loved people and made friends easily. She was a snowbird, enjoyed music and taught dancing in Arizona for many years. She was a wonderful wife, mother, nana, sister and friend. Her quick wit, wry sense of humour and easy smile will be missed by everyone who knew the feisty English woman. Marie was predeceased by her parents Pauline & Tommy Dodds, her beloved husband Clarence (Chris) Dillan, sister Joan Harrison, brother David William Dodds and Robert Edward Dodds. She is survived by 5 children, 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Son Barry Dillon, daughter-in-law Beverley, grandchildren Patrick, Raiili and Christopher (Thunder Bay); daughter Susan Zack, son-in-law Jerry (Lac La Hache), grandchildren Trina and Ed E.; daughter Sharon Hagstrom, son-in-law Conrad, grandchildren Carl & Chris (Thunder Bay); son Michael Dillon and his partner Carlla Soden (Surrey); daughter Joanne Dillon (White Rock). A Funeral Mass will be held in White Rock, BC on Monday, April 21, 2008 at 9:00 a.m.
