JEFFERY, Dale Maxwell 1929 - 2007 Dale Maxwell Jeffery, a long-time resident of the Red Deer Lake and Priddis areas, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2007 at Rising Sun Long Term Care in Black Diamond. He is survived by his daughter Susan, son-in-law Mark Egeland, and loving granddaughter Hunter; also by his cousin Roger (Margaret) Maltby and family. Dale was predeceased by his wife Hazel in 1992, and by his daughter Heather in 1976. Dale was born in Calgary on April 29, 1929. The only child of Roy "Jeff", and Nena Jeffery, he was raised on the family farm west of Midnapore, which he took over in the 1960s. He married Hazel White in 1962. In the early 1990s, as the city overtook their farm, Dale and Hazel headed west to a cattle ranch in the Priddis area. Dale enjoyed hockey and badminton, and was an avid fisherman. He also loved farming and ranching, and watching wildlife graze against the backdrop of the Rockies. His kindness and generosity made him loved by all. Dale was a wonderful man who will be deeply missed by his family and his many friends. Our heartfelt thanks to all the staff at Rising Sun LTC who made Dale feel right at home over the past five years. Also to his many friends that gave continued love and support during his last years. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, November 1, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. at the Red Deer Lake Community Hall. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Rising Sun Long Term Care in Black Diamond. To e-mail condolences to the family please visit www.snodgrassfuneralhomes.com .
