McADAM DeLONG, Olga Christina Peacefully at the Carleton Lodge on Wednesday May 14, 2008, age 93. Beloved wife of Lewis McAdam (deceased 1981) and Albert DeLong. Loving mother of Bonnie Baxter (Tony Hodgkinson) and Bill McAdam. Cherished grandmother of Shane Baxter of Langley, BC, Sharon Baxter (David Sproule) of Ottawa, Roy Baxter of Montreal, Bruce Baxter (Gillian Fernie) of Ottawa, and Heather McAdam of Ottawa. Dearest great-grandmother of nine Baxter children: Brooke, Dylan, Kristian, Amanda, Chelsea, Briana, Mitchell, Madi and Cameron. Pre-deceased by 12 siblings and survived by one sister, Evelyn Miller of Vancouver. Special thanks to Alan Baxter. Olga was a proud member of the Eastern Star, Success Chapter, and a former elder at St. Giles Presbyterian Church in Ottawa. Special thanks for the loving care provided by the dedicated staff of Carleton Lodge. Friends are invited to visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod St. on Friday, May 16, from 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday May 17 at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Carleton Lodge or the Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Association would be appreciated.
