SHAW, Noreen Margaret Yvonne March 24, 1931 - September 14, 2007 Noreen Margaret Yvonne Shaw (nee Dudgeon), known to family and friends as "Nini", "Aunty Neen", and "Shaw", passed away peacefully with family by her side at the Southwood Care Centre in Calgary, Alberta in the early hours of September 14, 2007. A woman ahead of her time, she raised her four children as a single mother, earned accreditation from Mount Royal College, was a store owner, a childcare provider and a teacher. But most of all, she was a friend and mentor; one to open her heart and home to anyone in need of advice, guidance or support which she delivered with sensibility and humour. Noreen was predeceased by her parents Andrew and Florence (Edna) Dudgeon as well as her brother Cecil Dudgeon; her sister Millie Anderson (nee Dudgeon); her brother Donald Dudgeon and his wife Alice; her sister Francis Irene (Myrtle) Ede (nee Dudgeon); her husband Jack Edward Shaw; and her son-in-law William Sutton. Left to mourn her passing are her sister, Gwen Dickenson (nee Dudgeon); daughter Jo-Anne Sutton (nee Shaw); son Kerry (Carol) Shaw; son Bryan Shaw; and son Kelly Shaw (Lori Jansen); grandchildren Dara Sutton, Chris (Julie) Shaw, and Karmen Shaw; as well as great-grandchildren Damon and Jaden Sutton, Hunter Shaw, and Mackenzie Shaw. Friends and family are invited to honour Noreen's memory during the memorial tree planting ceremony at Fish Creek Provincial Park September 14, 2008 and to gather as we celebrate her life and scatter ashes at the Dudgeon Family Memorial, Knightcot Cemetery, Morden, Manitoba (Summer 2008). Donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society ( www.cancer.ca . Telephone 1-888-939-3333). Published in the Calgary Herald on 10/3/2007
