SWAN, Melva (nee Goyette) In hospital, surrounded by friends and family, on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at the age of 82. Beloved wife of the late Rodney Swan; loving mother of Carol Walker (the late Kent), Claire Langdon, Nancy Moyes (Earl Simpson) and Greg Swan (Heather). Predeceased by her son Brian. Much loved grandmother of Debbie, Rodney, Dawn, Troy, Laura, Wayne, Tammy, Danny and the late Derek. Great grandmother of 12 and great-great grandmother of one. Dear sister of Adeline Trottier (Ronny). Visitation at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road (at Albion), on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service Friday in the funeral home chapel at 12 noon followed by interment at Pinecrest Cemetery. In memoriam donations to the Childrens Wish Foundation or to a charity of one's choice would be appreciated. Special thanks to Dr. Benoit and the staff of the Neurological Science Unit on the 7th floor of the Civic Hospital for their care, to the staff of Bridlewood Retirement Home, and to her many, many friends and family.
