Ruth Josephine BARRETT

WATSON, Ruth Josephine (nee Barrett) Passed away peacefully at her home on May 2, 2008 at the age of 87. Predeceased by her husband Warren (Tiny) Watson in 1997 and her sister, Grace Wyllie in 2007. She is survived by her two daughters, Terry (George) Carrigan and Jane (Bob) Clayton; five grandchildren, John, Jim, Tracy, Doug and Ken; and three great-grandchildren, Ryan, Samantha and Isabelle. She is also survived by her sister, Josie Elliott. Ruth was born in Prince Rupert, B.C. Her family moved to Edmonton, then to Calgary in 1929. Ruth retired from Pritchard's Drug Store in Altadore. During her retirement she would always love to go out walking. You would frequently see Ruth walking and visiting with people along 33 and 34 Avenue S.W. (Marda Loop). A "celebration" of her life will be held at South Calgary Funeral Centre (12700 Macleod Trail South) on Thursday, May 8, 2008 at 12:00 (noon). Interment to follow at Queen's Park Cemetery.
