UNRUH, Edward Richard - Born March 8, 1915 in Hepburn, Saskatchewan and passed away peacefully at home in St. Catharines on Thursday, May 1, 2008. Predeceased by his sweetheart and wife for 66 years, Tina in November of 2007. Survived by sons Ron (Christine), Murray (Diane), Neale (Kathy); 6 grandchildren, Cari (Tim Locken), Jeff (Gina), Beth (Eric Woelk), Matthew (Cristina), Drew, Amy (Chris Hollywood) and by 9 great grandchildren. Ed served with RCAF in World War II. After moving to St. Catharines he worked at Anthes Imperial, retiring in 1980. He and Tina enjoyed traveling and proudly told of visits to every province in Canada and throughout much of the United States. After retiring he began working with wood and crafted beautiful clocks. Ed was an avid gardener, loved to read and he continued to stay interested in current events and sports throughout his life. Through the years he was a quiet, unfailing supporter of his wife Tina in her many endeavors that included running her own successful catering business. They were blessed with an unusually loving marriage and partnership. He will be remembered by his sons as a constant, quiet but encouraging presence throughout their lives. He enjoyed his family and was always eager to hear about his grandchildren. The family often sang together and his beautiful baritone voice added richness to the harmony. Ed was a member of Calvary Church and cared deeply for his many friends there. The family will receive friends at the VINELAND CHAPEL of the TALLMAN FUNERAL HOMES, 3277 King St. on Sunday 2-4 p.m. Private family interment will precede the Funeral Service that will be held in the Tallman Chapel at 11 a.m. Ed often expressed gratitude for the redeeming work of Jesus Christ in his life. We are thankful for the care and kindness of Dr. Kerley throughout the years. Memorial donations to Supportive Housing at Tabor Manor would be appreciated by the family. 11074048
