GUILLEMETTE, Gerard (Jerry) - The family of Gerard (Jerry) Guillemette sadly announces his passing at his residence on Thursday May 22nd 2008 at the age of 72. Born in Sherbrooke, Quebec, April 8, 1936. Fondly remembered by longtime friend and companion June Smith. Loving father of Albert (Barbara Jean) of Florida, Beatrice of Welland, Elaine (Andy) of Florida, and Paul (Megan) of Welland. Wonderful grandfather to Danielle, Jaimie, Amy, Melissa, Clayton, Dillion and Ashley. Jerry as a very young man worked hard to provide for his mother and continued to always care and nourish a loving and comfortable home for her and the rest of his family. In our hearts he will be cherished each and everyday. He is now reunited with his mother and will continue gracefully watching over all of us with his love and protection. May we never forget Jerry. The family will receive relatives and friends at the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME 827 East Main Street Welland on Friday (today) from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Saturday in the chapel at 3pm. with father Paul MacDonald officiating.
