Phyliss MONK

Phyliss Whiteman, formerly of Hanover, passed away at Elgin Abbey Nursing Home, Chesley on Saturday, May 24, 2008. She was 80. Born in Bentinck Township, daughter of the late Edward and Emma (Mortimer) Monk. Survived by daughters Audrey and her husband Jim Schlatman and Sharon and her husband Dennis Russwurm, both of Hanover, grandchildren Sharilyn and her husband Bryan Clowes and Tyler Schlatman. Predeceased by her husband William Whiteman, daughter Rosemary Whiteman, sisters Laverna Monk and Leona Fidget and brothers John Monk, Earl Monk and Nelson Monk. Visitation was held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover on Monday from 7-9 pm, where a Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at 11 am. Rev. Dean Noakes officiated. Interment in Hanover Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Alzheimer Society were appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
