STEVENS, Aura Ellen (nee Sorvari) - Passed away peacefully at St. Joseph's Health Centre in her 86th year on May 21, 2008. Loving wife of Bill Stevens for 57 years. Loving mother of Bill Jr. (predeceased, wife Darlene), Lisa (Dan Helsberg), Mark (Kris Hall), Paul (Naom), and Anna (Tom Gadsby). Beloved Mummu to Nicole, Samantha, Lucas, Tonderai, Scott, Jordi, Michael, Christy and Ben. Dear daughter of Emil and Lempi Sorvari predeceased. Beloved sister to Hilkka Anonen (Paul). Beloved aunt and godmother to Raymond Anonen. Sadly missed by brothers and sisters-in-law Tom Stevens, John Stevens, Margaret Theresa Bouchard (George), Anne Marie Ripley (predeceased) and Bob Stevens (predeceased) and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nephews. Aura and Bill have spent the last 35 years living at Black Lake which has been the site of many happy family celebrations. Aura was a great seamstress and cook. Her cookies, pulla and pies were loved by 3 generations. Her passing is a great loss to her loving family and friends. A memorial visitation at the JACKSON & BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St., Sudbury Saturday, May 24th, 2008 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Cremation.
