LIGHT, Muriel Elizabeth - Born September 20, 1923 in Liverpool, England. Died peacefully on June 6, 2008 in Guelph, Ontario. Mother to Nancy (John Blake), Peter F. (Sheila), Paul (Patricia) and Rebecca (Kipp Steed). Nannie to Jonathan (Laura), Geoffrey (Tracy), Timothy, Alyssa and Peter W.. Proud great-grandmother to Ronan, Colin, Allison and Ella. Muriel also leaves behind her sister June in Edinburgh and brother George in Liverpool. Fell in love with a Canadian soldier, (the late) Peter L. Light, on her 21st birthday and couldn't help but become a war bride. They built their life together in Barrie, Ontario. She will be forever loved and missed by her family. Friends may call the STECKLEY- GOODERHAM FUNERAL HOME (Clapperton and Worsley St.),Barrie on Sunday from 2:00pm to 4:00 pm and from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Parish prayers will be held at 8:45pm. Funeral mass to be held at St. Mary's Church, Barrie on Monday June 9th at 10:00 am. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery, Barrie. Arrangements entrusted to St. Mary's Parish.
