Edith Elizabeth CARRUTHERS

WILLARD, Edith Elizabeth Edith Elizabeth Willard died peacefully in her own home near Milo with her family present on March 4, 2008. She was born March 2, 1920 to Edward and Carrie Carruthers at Vulcan, AB. Edith is survived by: her daughter, Judith Schiffner Knapp (David Knapp) of Mesa, Arizona; her son, Ward Willard of Vulcan, AB; her daughter, Marsha Willard of Milo, AB; and very close family friend and co-worker, Dale Cote. She also has ten grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Edith was predeceased by: her husband, Marshall (Ole) Willard in 1980; her son, Mark, in 1952; and her grandson, Jerry, in 1980; her parents, Edward and Carrie Carruthers; her brother Roy (Audrey) Carruthers of Winfield; her brother Earl (Marion) Carruthers of Vulcan; her sister Alice (Bob) Latham of St. Albert. Memorial Services will be held at the Milo Community Hall on Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Vulcan Extendicare, or The Vulcan FCSS, or The Mustard Seed Mission or New Tribes Missions.
