Raymond Martin "Ray" Rody Passed away on / Décédé(e) le April 29, 2008 We regret to announce the sudden death of Raymond Martin "Ray" Rody on Tuesday April 29 2008 at home at the age of 61 years. Ray is survived by his loving wife Linda Rody of Kapuskasing, 3 sons: Sean husband of Tanya of Kitchener, Christopher husband of Chantal of Kapuskasing, Michael of Toronto; 1 sister: Diane Mantha of North Bay; 4 brothers: Ronald Rody of Wawa, Martin Rody of Timmins, Patrick Rody of Ottawa, Robert Montgomery of Sudbury; 3 grandchildren: Ethan, Kaitlen, Danica and his stepfather William Montgomery of Cobalt. He was predeceased by his parents Aeneas and Mercedes Gauthier. Ray was a Paul Harris member with Rotary International and participated in many facets of Rotary including a recent trip to Jamaica for a wheelchair distribution. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, held a seat on the board of directors of Kapuskasing Economic Development Corporation, treasurer for the Conservative Party, and after retirement went to work for the Kapuskasing Disability Resource Center. In his spare time he enjoyed curling. He will be resting on Friday May 2 2008 from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Saturday May 3 2008 at 10:30 a.m. the St.Patrick's Church, Kapuskasing with Father Fernand Villeneuve officiating. Burial will follow at the Kapuskasing Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Rotary Foundation or the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation.
