HENDRICKEN, Phelan John Surrounded by family at the Palliative Care Unit of the Prince Edward Home on July 21, 2008, of Phelan John Hendricken of Mermaid, age 69 years. Beloved husband of Dianne (nee McCabe-Larkin). Loving father of Shawna MacDonald (Jack), Faye, Barbie and Terry (predeceased) (Angela Kelly). Stepfather of Calvin Larkin (Tracey) and Jackie Kennedy (Ron). Grandfather of Katie and Willie MacDonald; Harrison and Fallon Trenholm; Cole, Grace, Abby and Mya Larkin and Larkin and Lance Kennedy. Survived by brothers and sisters Irwin (Vilma); Bernice Kelly (Howard); Lornie, J.P. (Marie); Frankie (Marjorie); Elaine Wood; Dianne McKay (Donald); Coleen Rodgerson (Howard); Leo (Helen) and Claire. Phelan was predeceased by his parents, Dan and Catherine (nee Phelan) Hendricken. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford, for visitation on Wednesday, July 23, 2008, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, July 24, at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Stratford at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Mount Ryan Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Oncology Unit of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital would be appreciated. Completion of funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Hillsboro Funeral Home, Stratford.
