WISE, Sylvia G. - Peacefully at her residence in Kingston with her children by her side on Thursday, July 24th in her 68th year, after battling with cancer for 15 months. Beloved mother to Debbie Henderson (nee Rowe) and Allen Rowe. Grandmother to Les Henderson and Chris Henderson. Daughter of the late Arthur and Loreene Wise and sister to the late Joey Wise. Sylvia retired after 32 years of service at Correctional Services Canada. She will be fondly remembered by friends and family as a warm, kind and thoughtful person. Special thanks to the Palliative Care Team for the compassionate care that mom received. In keeping with Sylvia's wishes cremation will be followed by a Memorial Service in the chapel of the JAMES REID FUNERAL HOME (1900 John Counter Blvd) on Sunday, July 27, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. Friends will be received on Sunday from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the UHKF (Cancer Centre of Southeastern Ontario at KGH) or to the charity of your choice in Sylvia's memory.
