RAPKIN, Serena (nee Gruberman). Peacefully, on Sunday, July 27, 2008. Beloved wife of the late Lou. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Myron and Sandy, and Bobby. Cherished Bubby of Liza, Lorne, Sean and Tamara, Cory, Amy and Jane. Proud great-grandmother of Harbour and Breeze. Dearest sister and sister-in-law of Joseph and Barbara Gruberman of Cape Cod, Mildred and Moe Edelstein of California. Sister-in-law of Rose and Syd Hirsch, Molly and the late Joey Rapkin, the late Anne and the late Al Geller, the late Nat Rapkin. She will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, family and her many close friends. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of 4 Main at the Jewish General Hospital for their exceptional care and compassion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W. on Wednesday, July 30 at 1:00 p.m. Burial at the B'nai Brith Section, Kehal Israel Cemetery, D.D.O. Shiva private.
