KARAKAS, Verna - Peacefully at the Brantford General Hospital on Sunday, May 4, 2008 in her 89th year. Predeceased by her husband Julian; dear mother of Ken and Lucie of Brantford; dear grandmother of Matthew. The family will receive friends at the THORPE BROTHERS' FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 96 West Street, on Wednesday, May 7, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. As requested by Verna, there will be no funeral service. A family interment of her cremated remains will take place at a later date.
