DOUGHTY, James Donald - Of Chatham, passed away peacefully at the Copper Terrace Long Term Care Facility, on Friday, May 16, 2008. Born in Chatham, 93 years ago, son of the late Edward Doughty and Ada Notley. His wife the former Ella Mae Maynard predeceased in 1994. Surviving are two sons James “Ted“ and wife Bernice of Chatham, Patrick and wife Joan of Perth, one daughter Sandra Jane LaMarsh and husband Leonard of Chatham. 13 grandchildren 22 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren. One brother Jack Doughty and wife Mable of Burlington. Predeceased by one granddaughter and one grandson, three brothers, Lawrence, Edward, and Raymond and four sisters Ada, Kathleen, Grace and Dorothy. In keeping with Jim's wishes, there will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements were entrusted to the BOWMAN FUNERAL HOME, 4 Victoria Avenue, Chatham (519-352-2390).
