HAZLETT, Ruth Yvonne (Scrimshaw) of Orillia, passed away at Soldier's Memorial Hospital after fighting a long courageous battle with cancer on July 20, 2008 in her 68th year. (Ruth and John Hazlett were the former proprietors of Mark IV Variety Store) Beloved wife of John. Loved mother of Deborah Flemming (Ray), Shirley Nicks (Terry), Dorothy Hansen (Dave), Kim Mortier (Michael), Nancy Hazlett (Dieter), Lynn Hazlett, Russel Hazlett and Rob Hazlett (Janet). Cherished grandmother of 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Loving sister of Marvin Scrimshaw (Jeanette), Lloyd Scrimshaw (Inga), Donna Snider (Ted), Linda Engeland (Paul) and Connie Martin (Larry), Dear sister-in-law of Dorothy Moore (Bill), Jacqueline Warlow and brother-in-law Dave Clarke. Predeceased by her brother Robert Scrimshaw, sister Beth Clarke. Ruth will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Respecting Ruth's wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a Celebration of her life at the Warminister Legion on Sunday July 27, 2008 from 2 - 4 pm. Service to begin at 2:30 pm.
