MURRAY, John G. - Peacefully, at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Wednesday, July 23rd, 2008 in his 88th year. Loving husband of Dorothy (nee McNaughton) for 65 years. Dear father of Carol (Ross) Pattenden. Loved grandfather of Colin Grant Elion. Brother of the late Lloyd (Jean), the late Clyde, Arty (Kathleen), the late Al (Jessie), Stuart (Frances), Larry (Jeanne), Betty (the late Doodie) MacDonald, Helen Griffin, Kathleen (Charles) Collison and Shirley (Jack) Nunn. Brother-in-law of Jack (Eve) McNaughton, Ralph (Mary) McNaughton, the late Duncan (Flora) McNaughton, the late Warren (Lily) McNaughton and the late Donald (Annie) McNaughton. Predeceased by his parents John & Mamie Murray. John worked as a millwright at Kimberley Clark for 46 years before retiring in 1985. He was a Veteran of World War II serving with the Royal Canadian Navy. Cremation has taken place. A private family memorial service will be held at the HAMMOND FUNERAL HOME AND CHAPEL, 26 Ormond Street South, Thorold.
