ACKERSON, STANLEY JOHN At his home in Ripples N B, Stanley John Ackerson passed away on August 4th, 2008 at the age of 85. Born in Ripples, NB, he was a son of the late John & Bessie (Robertson) Ackerson. A self-employed contractor & Truck Driver, he also was the cleaning contractor for the Royal Canadian Legion for 23 years. He is survived by his wife Gladys (Tapley) Ackerson, 1 son Paul (Nancy) of Maugerville, 1 brother Walter Ackerson of Minto as well as several nieces & nephews. Predeceased by his parents, 3 sisters Ruby, Violet & Marjorie, 2 brothers Ernest & Borden. Resting at Bishop's Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road on Wednesday August 6th, 2008 from 2-4 &7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held from Bishop's Funeral Home chapel on Thursday, August 7th at 2 Pm with Rev. Daniel Swim officiating assisted by Rev. Ivan Young.
