APPEL, Toby At the Ottawa Civic Hospital on Wednesday, August 13th, 2008 in his 97th year. Beloved husband of the late Rebecca Appel and the late Freda Appel. Much loved father of Maureen Molot (Henry), Barry Appel, Linda Cohen (Alan) and Sandra Appel (Jerry Shuman). Cherished grandfather of Alex Molot and Adena Klem, Edie Molot and Shahar Keren, the late Rebecca Molot, Reena Cohen and Uri Gorodzinsky, Rafi and Michele Cohen, Mira and Naomi Shuman. Great grandfather of 4. Predeceased by his brother Moe (Mollie) and his sister Nell Gluck (Elliot). Respected step-father of Sharon Pinsler (Peter) and Brenda Schopp (Erik Haltrecht). Funeral Service will be held at the Jewish Memorial Chapel, 1771 Cuba Avenue on Thursday, August 14th at 3:30 pm; interment to follow at the Jewish Community Cemetery, Bank Street. Shiva will be held at 522 Piccadilly Avenue. Heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Acute Monitoring area, 5th floor of the Civic Hospital, to Toby's wonderful caregivers: Helen, Ikhlas, Maria and Melly and to the staff of Central Park Lodge.
