Olive Harriet BRUSTAD

SMITH, Olive Harriet (nee Brustad) August 13, 1922 - August 3, 2008 Olive Smith, beloved Mother and Nana of Calgary, died on August 3, 2008 at the age of 85 years. Olive was born August 13, 1922 in Bow Island, AB. Olive joined the Royal Canadian Air Force on November 12, 1943 and was honourably released and transferred to the RCAF Reserve, General Section, Class E on December 11, 1945. Olive was a member of the Centennial Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 285. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, Nana and Great-Nana, who will be dearly missed by all whose lives she touched. Olive is survived by her loving daughter Joanne Smith and her sons, Kristopher (Colleen) and Spencer (Melissa); her loving son Gary (Laurie) Smith and their daughters, Jessica and Kristen; great-grandchildren, Gavin and Nolan. She was predeceased by her husband of fifty years, Harvey Smith on September 2, 1997. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY'S, Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Thursday, August 7, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. A Private Family Graveside Service to follow at Queen's Park Cemetery Field of Honour.
