SIMPSON, Ida May (nee Button) - Peacefully at Copper Terrace Nursing Home, Chatham, on Tuesday, August 12, 2008, Ida May (nee Button) Simpson, formerly of Aldborough Twp. and Glencoe in her 86th year. Predeceased by her husband Donald (1999). Dear mother of Bradley and Patricia of Port Lambton, David and Laura of Thamesford and Ross and Magda of Chatham. Loving grandmother of Bryan, Jeffrey, Kenneth, John, Paula, Barbara and James. Survived by her sister Doris (Lyle) Campbell, brother Ross (Ruth) Button and sister-in-law Evelyn Button. Pre- deceased by two brothers, James and Harvey, and two sisters Helen Lynn and Thelma Waddell. Relatives and friends will be received at the VAN HECK FUNERAL HOME, 172 Symes Street, Glencoe on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held Friday, August 15 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Cheryl Kirk officiating. Interment at Oakland Cemetery. Memorial donations may be to the Alzheimer Society. Mrs. Simpson was a well-respected teacher in the community for many years. She taught at Crinan Public School, Mosa Central and retired from Ekcoe Central in 1978. 11201276
