Crescenza Ferrelli August 25, 1906 - August 11, 2008 With her family at her side, it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of the matriarch of our family, on Monday, August 11, 2008 at St. Peter's Hospital, in her 102nd year. Born in Pettorano Sul Gizio, Italy on August 25, 1906. Predeceased by her parents Pietro and Luisa Checca and her beloved husband Giuseppe Ferrelli (1944). Cherished mother and mother-in-law of Evelina and the late Luigi Grilli, Bianca and Vito D'Alessandro, the late Gianbattista and Concetta Ferrelli, Peter and Mary Ferrelli. Adored Nonna of Joe (Alice) Grilli, Vera (Gino) Bifano, Dan (Mary) D'Alessandro, Nancy (Rick) Varga, Vito D'Alessandro, Maria (Frank) Noce, Chris (Panfilo) Ventresca, Joey Ferrelli and Jackie (Aaron) Haynes. Beloved great-grandmother of seventeen and great-great-grandmother of two. Crescenza is predeceased by her four brothers and five sisters and she will be deeply missed by her many nieces and nephews. A special thanks to Ward 2 West of St. Peter's Hospital for their excellent care. Resting at the FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL, 43 Barton Street East (near James) Wednesday and Thursday 5-9 p.m. Vigil prayers Thursday at 8 p.m. Funeral Mass Friday 10 a.m. at St. Anthony's Church with entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
