CHILDS, Steven William (Steve) Peacefully on August 5, 2008, at home surrounded by his family, after a valiant battle with cancer, in his 58th year. Beloved husband of Laura. Cherished father of Jessica. Steve will be lovingly remembered by his father Bill (Olive); brothers Rick and Tim (Blanche); sister Jill McLaughlin (Kevin); extended family and many friends. Predeceased by mother Gloria and brother Mike. Friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life at Ward Funeral Home, 109 Reynolds St., Oakville (905-844-3221) on Sunday, August 10, 2008, from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Steve's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society.
