D'UVA, Antonietta - Peacefully passed away at the Port Colborne Hospital on August 8, 2008 in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late Mariano - 1991. Loving mother of Antonio D'Uva (Jane), Palmo D'Uva (Ida) and Adelina Lapointe (Rolland). Caring nonna of Mario D'Uva (Cami), Salvatore D'Uva (Susan), Anna Sicilia, Lisa Cabrera (Jeff), Christine Franch (Robert), Nancy D'Uva, Gina Gallant (Joe), Stephen D'Uva, and bisnonna of 10 great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by her family in Italy and Australia. Antonietta was born in Castelpetroso, Isernia, Italy and emigrated to Canada in 1953. Her greatest joy in life came from her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her interests in life were gardening, crocheting, reading and attending Mass every day. The D'Uva family will receive friends at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 179 Clarence Street, Port Colborne on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers will be held on Monday at 3:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at St. Therese of Lisieux R.C. Church at 10:30 a.m. with Father Bill Derousie as celebrant. Rite of Committal will follow at Mount St. Joseph Cemetery.
